New Joomla Board Members Elected

On October 17 Joomla has announced who will be there until the board of Open Source Matters are elected. Open Source Matters (OSM) is a nonprofit organization in the United States, set up financial and legal interests of the Joomla project to represent.


In the search for new board members, the Joomla community in late August asked people to nominate for the positions became available.

On October 1 have already announced the first new board members: Philip Locke, and Paul Orwig Altansukh Tumenjargal. Today the last four new board members announced: Alice Grevet, Dianne Henning, Andrea Tarr and yes, our own Stuivenberg Marijke!

Marilyn has been active in the Dutch and international Joomla community joomla website development. Many of us make good use of her daily efforts in making the Dutch language files. In recent years there have been more different tasks to be added within other Joomla Bug Squad member and Translation Coordinator. Now that Marilyn was elected to OSM board member was to crown her many voluntary work for the Joomla Project to see, on behalf of our whole team, congratulations!


We wish Mario together with all other new board members every success and hope that together they are positive developments for the project could bring about Joomla!

The Joomla Project Team on October 8 announced the immediate availability of Joomla.
It's a new version of the medium in which a security risk is repaired. It is recommended that this patch immediately execute. This upgrade will install a protection against XSS (Cross-site scripting). This will be very useful for professional Joomla website developers and firms that focuses mainly on Joomla projects to cut out security testing for their clients websites.

Happy news to Joomla folks is the arrival of new Joomla version. On October 18, 2010 is the twelfth release of Joomla 1.6 beta released by the Joomla Project team. This version via this link to download.

It is and remains a beta version and is not intended to describe all the production sites to apply. It is envisaged that this beta looks at potential problems so that the stable release can be resolved.

Since the release of Joomla 1.6 beta 11 is released on October 4, 1927 there are again some problems solved by data.
